Commencement 2004
Dani Voss
"Delphi has given me the tools to be independent, to do what I want and to do so
successfully. I used to have to struggle in order to read a book for more than one
hour, and I wasn't really enjoying reading. Through working with various faculty
at Delphi, I was able to handle this and take on my reading for the first time,
and enjoy it. I now feel that I am inside the book watching what is going on.
"Not only was I reading books, but I was thinking with the material and digging
into what the author was saying after comparing it to what was going on in society
at that time and now. This sharpened my ability to evaluate data I am given and
decide what I believe for myself, which I feel is one of the most valuable tools
I could have gained at Delphi. I can now form my own opinions and beliefs on anything,
not only books, and communicate them."

"Delphi has provided the sharpest and most favored tools in my toolbox of life.
These tools have enabled me to discover more about life than I ever thought possible.
I have learned to truly appreciate the value of art and religion while also improving
my strengths in business and leadership.
"Most importantly, the school here has taught me how to learn and gain from all
experiences and facets of life. The ability to learn is most powerful when constantly
applied. It gives me energy and life when I discover or learn something new. From
Delphi I have learned to create a snowball effect with that energy."

"With the guidance of the Delphi faculty, as well as the intricate structure of
The Delphi Program, I have been able to grasp an understanding of responsibility,
and its very important relationship to the four points of the Delphi logo: ethics,
leadership, knowledge, and integrity. From working with the staff and tackling the
challenges of the fast-paced extracurricular program, I have seen myself change
from a slightly dynamic person, to a very interested, capable and happy individual."
