Commencement 2004
Kiersten Pearson
"I remember my first day at Delphi, four years ago. I was shy, uncertain and scared.
I had come to Delphi looking for someone to help me through my life and ensure that
I made it. Throughout the program, however, I realized that nobody could help me
do this but myself. Every problem that I faced, every word that I read and every
barrier that I overcame helped me reach this understanding. This made all of the
difference and is certainly something that I will hold close to me for the rest
of my life."

"At Delphi, I was confronted with tasks that took responsibility and leadership,
qualities I had avoided until then. I stumbled at first, but soon found my footing.
As I moved through the upper end of the program, I gained more and more abilities,
finding myself constantly putting to use all of what I was studying.
"Through this education, I changed from a lost nine-year-old boy into an individual
ready to take on life and all of its challenges. That drive and the tools to take
on life are what Delphi has given me."

"Delphi has been the greatest adventure I have embarked upon. It was filled with
many challenges and was not always easy, but what is an adventure without some hard
times? Now I have finished this adventure, have 'summitted' this mountain, and can
see new mountains to climb and new adventurous paths to take. But no matter what
the adventure, there are some things—tools if you will—necessary for
it to be successful. Delphi has helped me to solidify these tools: honesty, integrity,
ethics, leadership and the ability to learn whatever I want to learn. So, it's off
to the next adventure. Here I go!"
