Commencement 2005

"I have been challenged in ways that pushed me to figure out just how much I was
capable of, and then to increase that capability. I have been given projects and
leadership positions that brought my skills to the surface. I now know that I am
always more capable than I think.
"Whatever the size of the task that I take on, it always turns out that I have what
it takes somewhere within me. The amazing thing about The Delphi Program is that
instead of someone else trying to show me that I had the ability, I was given the
tools to figure it out for myself. Now, not only do I know that I have it, but I
know how to use it."

"Through the reading program and the many courses, I discovered the value of developing
my own ideas and viewpoints about issues in the world. Authors such as Charles Dickens,
Jack London and Boris Pasternak showed me many circumstances where one must stand
up for what he believes. Through current events classes and Headmistress Tea, I
learned to share my ideas and views and give them a 'test run.' By the end of Delphi,
I was able to argue my own views logically. I am now a capable individual who can
hold his own in any situation. Thank you, Delphi for giving me a strong foundation
that I will use confidently anywhere I go."

"Delphi was a long, but worthwhile process for me. My determinism and integrity
were tested to the point that at times I felt like giving up on graduation.
"I eventually realized that the main thing I was fighting was my own lack of determinism
in my education. I wasn't going in any particular direction in life and didn't have
any goals that I felt truly passionate about. By the end of the program, however,
I had to make a decision. I knew that I wanted to get the product of graduation,
but I had to figure out how I was going to get there. In the end, it was my own
integrity, personal toughness and determinism that got me through. I figured out
where I was going in life and haven't looked back since."
