Commencement 2007
Daniel Lopez
"Delphi has changed me from a boy into a man. By 'man' I mean a person who has integrity
and fights for his beliefs; who is ethical and does what he feels is morally correct;
who is compassionate for his fellow beings no matter what their nationality, religion,
financial status or color. Delphi has given me the ability to lead. It has brought
out the warrior in me. I will use these tools to forge my own way into the world
and help it as much as I can.
"As I finish one journey and enter another, I expect to be continually challenged
and tested, but I am confident that I will succeed."

"Delphi is a 'school' in the true meaning of the word. When I was a child, I was
told that I should go to school so I could be successful once I grew up. When I
was attending my previous school, I didn't see how what I was learning (math, spelling
and history) was going to help me be successful. I saw that those subjects may help
me do certain jobs, but I never saw how they could make me successful. Delphi, on
the other hand, teaches those basic subjects alongside many important life skills
such as logic, ethics, communication, etc. These are the necessary tools to be successful
in every way and not just at one's job.
"Now that I have completed the Delphi Program, I know that I can go out into the
world and live my life the way I want. At Delphi, I gained a REAL education."

"Through the courses on Form 8 and the practical experience I gained from doing
projects at Delphi and out in the community, I learned the meaning of ethics, integrity
and responsibility, and in learning those, I also learned leadership.
"Understanding and gaining these attributes has changed my outlook on life. I now
know that I want to help people and my community, whether that is at Delphi or at
home. And I am confident that I am able to go out in my life and do this."

"Completing Delphi's program has been one of the greatest achievements of my life.
I have become the person that I want to be, and I now have the tools and the confidence
that I need to succeed in life. The courses taught me knowledge about the world
around me; the literature program opened my eyes to the struggles, the tragedies,
and the joys of life; and the practical side of the program helped create a confident
and able individual.
"The staff and students at Delphi create a safe environment where it is okay to
need help and where everyone has the common purpose and goal of helping you! This
program was definitely not easy, but the end result made every second spent worthwhile.
Because of my Delphi education, I know who I am, and I know that I can do anything
I set my mind to."
