Commencement 2003

"The time I spent at Delphi was a period of major growth and development as a student
and as a person. I became a more dynamic individual by taking responsibility for
my educational program in the classroom and taking positions of leadership and responsibility
in the Student Council. The program is uniquely designed to squeeze out your own
abilities so that you realize for yourself that you possess this power.
"A specific area of educational growth for me was the literature program. The literature
program on the upper levels of the program challenges students by questioning them
about the books they read in order to get them thinking broadly about different
aspects of life. My integrity improved by doing this."

"Prior to attending Delphi, I had made some non-optimum decisions and made life
a difficult game to play. Ethics, morals, education and many of the things that
should have mattered to me, virtually didn't. I didn't have big aspirations and
goals and just drifted along in my own unethical manner.
Delphi changed my viewpoint and made life an actual game. I have gained a broad
assortment of abilities that will enable me to tackle and conquer my new, big aspirations
and goals.
Above and beyond all things I gained at Delphi was the understanding of the responsibility
that comes with being educated. A quote I say to myself daily is, "With great power
comes great responsibility." Understanding the advantage I have gained and the power
I have given myself by getting one of the best educations possible, has made me
recognize how responsible I am for enabling others to gain in the same respect.
Now my goals and aspirations are bigger than ever and I am excited and confident
in my ability to fulfill them."
