Community Service
Delphi students are continually active in their community, participating in activities such as helping out at the local retirement home, cleaning up local parks and public areas or tutoring neighborhood
students.
Each year, Delphi students are asked to sing Christmas carols at specific venues in Portland and McMinnville as well as to paint the background murals for the Mayor of McMinnville's annual gala charity ball. Our students are also regularly found tutoring in nearby elementary schools; their understanding of study basics gives them a unique advantage in helping other students resolve their own uncertainties in their materials.
Individuals and smalls groups of Delphi students have participated in more major
community service activities such as building houses for Habitat for Humanity, participating in or contributing to charitable sporting events such as marathons or walk/runs, building facilities for impoverished people in Guatemala, and running educational
seminars in rural Mississippi.
Delphi has received hundreds of letters from both the community and non-profit organizations
thanking our students for the great work they've done.
