Delphian School students attend Universal Declaration of Human Rights Event
Posted 12/09/2009 02:07PM
On December 6, 2009, the Delphian School Youth for Human Rights Club attended the 61st Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights event in Portland. This event is also known as Human Rights Day. During the event, a variety of guest speakers gave their experiences in regards to human rights violations why it is important to make the Universal Delcaration of Human Rights known around the world.

The Delphian School Youth for Human Rights Club acted as volunteers during the event. Students manned the entrances and assisted the guests; they helped in the booth and passed out DVDs telling the history of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.  Several students also performed the flag ceremony and read specific articles from the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The students did a very good job at this event, and their work is highly appreciated.
