Vision: A civilization based in reason.
Goal: Give young people a challenging educational structure that involves them responsibly and creatively with their environment and spotlights integrity, backbone and professionalism; where they can come to a certainty that their lives and careers are theirs to build; and where they develop the intellectual, ethical and productive tools they will need to build them.

What makes Delphian School different?
Delphian School truly believes each student is unique and should be educated as an individual. We work individually with each student to map out and guide them through their personalized learning plan so they are set up for their future— ensuring that by the time they graduate, Delphian students have the education that enables them to create the lives they want to lead.
Giving each student personalized, individual attention is not an add-on, but a requirement. Our goal is to prepare each student with the skills and tools needed to become independent, capable adults who act with integrity and judgement in the pursuit of their goals and dreams.
The best way to find out what this means in practice is to tour.
Daily Life at Delphian
Students and alumni often describe the Delphian community as their second family and the campus as their second home.
Our small community requires students to work together in the classroom, on academic and extracurricular projects, in the dorms, on our sports teams, in our choir and everywhere else.
Our vast campus provides a safe harbor for students to build their skills and expand their understanding of the world, free from discrimination or distractions. Coming together on a peer-to-peer level and looking out for each other is an integral part of our community. Encouraging peers to study, work hard and achieve success is normal.
You would be hard-pressed to find a more mutually encouraging and supportive student body.
Parent Involvement
Through our advisor program, a faculty or staff member is personally dedicated to each student to provide extra care, knowledgeable support, and guidance for our students and their family.
Keeping family closely involved is a vital part of our community.
Advisors usually begin to feel more like extended family as we believe that keeping an abundance of communication between students, their families, and our advisors is a vital part of the success of our tight-knit community.
Student Life
"Delphian gave me the underlying confidence to solve problems and continue to be a learner for the rest of my life. It set me up for a career and a life that I love! ”

Abilities : NOT Age
At Delphian, we do not run on a year-by-year grade-level basis. Instead each student moves through their own individualized program at their own optimum pace, taking more time when needed and moving more rapidly whenever possible.
In many schools utilizing the grade levels system, children move through their materials based on time rather than understanding. This model leaves many children stranded with educational holes. Delphian's forms approach is just the opposite, where learning is the constant and time is the variable as students work towards achieving our graduation requirements for each level.
This allows us to recognize each student as an individual, regardless of age, with the right to reason, to think creatively, to look at the world independently and to evaluate information for its relative importance and usefulness.
Location
Delphian is located in Sheridan, Oregon, roughly an hour southwest of Portland, near the city of McMinnville.
