Parents Weekend 2020
Friday, May 29 - Sunday, May 31
Parents Weekend is a time for our parents, students and faculty to come together for a special weekend that includes plays, awards, musical performances and Commencement on Sunday. The weekend is a chance for parents to have personal conferences with their child’s supervisor and other faculty who interact with them. Parents learn news of the school and of our goals and purposes at the Headmaster Address and Parent Seminars. It is also a time we honor graduates.
Because Parents Weekend is an event dedicated to our parents, it is open only to those guests who have been specifically invited--namely, Delphian parents. Current students may also invite additional family members (e.g., grandparents or siblings). Graduating seniors may invite family members, as well as close friends. When the guest list extends beyond this, the focus of the weekend can become diluted. The guidelines on who may be invited to Parents Weekend are there to ensure we maintain the purpose of this very special weekend.
There are two specific exceptions: the Upper School play, held off campus on Friday evening, and Commencement on Sunday are both open to the public. All on-campus events on Friday and Saturday are limited to invited guests, as covered above.
If you have any questions on who may be invited to Parents Weekend, please contact the Director of Campus Life
